His Love

As I gaze into the night sky, and behold the beauty of the stars, I realize the vast amount of wonderful stars there are. No one could possibly count them all. As I ponder the size, a verse comes to mind, Psalm 147:4 “He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names.” Can you even comprehend that? I sure can’t. We serve an amazing God who numbered the stars and “calls them by name!” If the stars mean so much to him that He knows them by name, how important are we to him? He didn’t send His son to die on a cross for the stars, He sent Him to die for us. He didn’t create heaven, so that when the stars die they have a wonderful place to spend eternity. He created it so we could spend an eternity with Him, with no pain or sorrow. That’s a humbling thought! When you realize how enormous everything is, you realize how insignificant you really are. We are just tiny people on a tiny planet. Man hasn’t even begun to touch the surface of what’s really out there. Such a great love He must have, that He cares so much for us.
